05/31/2015 Self-Exploration Salon Series

The Million Artist Movement Education Team would like to invite you to our Self-Exploration Salon Series on the last Sunday of each month from 4:00 – 6:00pm. In light of recent events in Baltimore and their connection to the larger conversation around black lives and how to respond to injustice, our theme this month is Black Anger.

We will explore together those inner emotional responses to inequity and how they may manifest in the face of brutal killings, discrimination, and systemic racism. We will share our personal experiences and understandings of Black Anger and its place in the movement, look at some history and data connected to its expression at different points in time, and create some art reflective of our discussions.

This month’s Salon will occur on Sunday, May 31st at Pillsbury House + Theatre located at 3501 Chicago Ave S in Minneapolis. Please join us for this powerful event.
