Total applications received = 151

DEADLINE TODAY 10/15/21 at midnight CDT

What are we doing?

This is the second round of a participatory funding process for Black artists that radically shifts the charity model of giving aid/support and centers Black artists in Minnesota. Our process removes hierarchical structures of power and relies on collectivism.  We are a trusted circle of Black artists determining where resources are best distributed.

How does it work?

For this round the Black Artist Council (BAC) has made the decision to disperse $1,000 to 8 Black artists in Minnesota through an online submission process open from October 1st until October 15th at midnight CST. Each of the 8 artists will be selected at random to receive the $1,000. Throughout the application window the number of submissions will be posted here.
